Hi Natalie, so glad you found my video! Dip the wrapper but it’s pretty quick! It doesn’t soften after a little bit after putting it on your plate. If it softens while you’re dipping it in the water, it means you’re dipping it in water for too long!

Does it soften after? We attempted this last night but I think we left it in the water too long because it seemed it wasn’t softening, and then of course, they tore rather easily.

I am new to Asian cooking, and love that I can make things at home, like these vietnamese spring rolls.

I ran out of Hoisin sauce, so I made my own using your recipe. I’ll probably buy it next time I can, but I must concur that home made is SO much better! I made some and just tested it as it was cooling, and all the flavors work perfectly together! Thank you so much for sharing, and I will be bookmarking your site for future cooking endeavors.
